The church at Camp Perrin, Haiti was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew in October 2016. Since that time, Pastor Serge and his congregation have continued to meet under tarps, praying for a new church building. We originally saw the church at Camp Perrin in August 2018 when visiting the home of our friends Fanuel and Judith St. Germain. Fanuel and his family not only live next to the church, they worship there and shared their prayers with those from Mt. Carmel. God provided, and the new church was begun in November 2018. Papa Noel and the Christmas Just Go Haiti team paid a visit in December 2018 to hundreds of children and adults eager to get a glimpse of the man in the red suit and see the Nativity play from the team. We look forward to a long relationship with Pastor Serge and his growing congregation and love watching from afar as they bring the gospel to so many new believers.

Kafou Sanon sits high in the mountains above Jeremie, past Pawati, in a small town that looks down over a mountaintop used for Voodoo rituals. Here, Pastor Simon is planting a church to reach those in need of the good news. The December 2018 team visited the building that the church worships in now, and construction was begun soon afterwards on a new structure to house the church and help it grow. What a beautiful, special place. Papa Noel plans a visit to Kafou Sanon in 2019!

Pastor Wilguens Cherilus and his congregation meet every Sunday in the open, without walls or a roof…worship must be cancelled if it rains. The new structure will allow this community to not only praise God in a solid building, it will help them draw more people to hear the gospel in an area that needs it so desperately.
